hmmm stupid me, this is not my week I said SO6r for next week and did what we wanted to prevent with running track which have the same corners to avoid racers confusing brake points between gt2 and tbo. So SO4/SO6r is too similar, SO6+TBO it will be.

Another good race overal, bad race for me. I forgot to add fuel causing me 2 pit stops and lots of blue flags I just watched the reply and I apologize to cayenne for touching his bumper. I also apologize to alexio, thought he would pass from the left so I steered right. I didnt have place to give him way at the chicane, but tried to at the start of long straight. I dont think chicane is a place to give way. However I dont think blue flag is an excuse for hiting someone causing them to spin off either at the first turn you are at the guy's bumper. Near the end, I watched carefully and saw maxnorris did not let the gas off for even a fraction because of me and I gave him way at the straight right after the turn. He was not close before the end of long straight and I cant give way at the high speed turn either since its dangerous. It was rude with the horns and all the ganging from PLZ team. I just drive to the inside, since the line is on the outside. If i stay on the outside and let the accel off, its risk of hitting. And i cant wait for the middle of the straight since ppl already cant wait for the straight and dash in at the corner. I want to ask your opinion on when to give way. I give way at a long straight or usually right after the turn before a long straight when i see from mirror that the behind car is closer than half a sec or so. In So6, that usually happens at the 2 slow speed corners right before the start of long straight and right at the end of it. Behind car usually catches up (around less than half sec) at that point, not before, and I give way. Is that a wrong idea of blue flag way? Do I have to slow down and immeaditly give way to the behind driver when he's 2 sec behind? And to the car after that, and after that since tehers a car at every 2-3 sec. LFS sends in blue flag signal way too early imo and its better to just leave the race if we're supposed to give way when blue flag flashes 2 sec behind. I am racing as well, even though its at the back, I'm still trying to race and I cant just get out of the way at turns and park to the left and right for everyguy whose car is distant at the mirror. I apologize from ppl if this was not the right way of giving way. Maybe LFS is different than real racing and ppl should give way to 1-2 sec behind cars. Then again if thats the case, overlapped driver should just spec and quit racing in LFS anyway edit: hmm maybe I can give way at those 2 corners by braking a bit later and moving to the outside (left) of the line as the overlapper car passes from the inside. it seems a bit risky for me but considering ppl's rush from the inside, that may actually be a safer way.

weatherlight, i was a PLZ driver for long time and i can guarantee to u that they usually are clean and fair racers, especially in that case Malcomax and Alexio_82. I think that they used the horn to advise u. Usually on blue flag the lapped racer need absolutely to DON'T CAUSE lost of time to other racers, especially when u are lapped from the first. South City is a wrong track for lapped and blue flag, this is sure.

Only alexio lost some time around half a sec or so at 1 corner only, where at its exit i tried to give way. Other driver did not lose time at all. And this is what LFS manual says. L-1: It is a fundamental rule of motorsport and sim racing that when a driver receives a blue flag, this is to let him know that a faster car is about to lap him. L-2: The leading driver that is lapping the slower car must treat the situation as though he's overtaking a normal competitor - and not assume the lapped driver should leap out of the way at all costs. L-3: The driver that is being lapped should let the lead driver past and/or not resist to be overtaken if the lead driver has sufficient overlap. Only move out of the way for a lapped car when you believe it is safe to do so. For example, not on the apex of a corner. Nowhere here states overlapping car should not lose any time at all and overlapped car should give way at all costs. In racing, F1 for example, drivers who start their overlaps and get into traffic can lose up to and even more then 1 sec and they dont complain or harass the other drivers. Overlapped drivers give way at the first corner they can after the overlapper catches with them. Overlapped drivers only get harassed if they keep on blocking the behind driver for more then 5-6 corners, not with 1-2 corners. I believe everyone knows this is normal and its the way racing is. Please tell me if the above lines are wrong and if not then pls tell me why did they horn, drive towards me, bumped me causing me to spin, and then say stuff like blue flag, weatherlight, typical. What is typical? ps: sorry for typing erros, and any sentences that may sound harsh. I had a troubeling weekend and couldnt sleep much for the past few days

Take it easy weatherlight, you didn't get a penalty or anything, I just told you to be careful after the alexio incident, not a reason to stop sleeping lol. All you said is right, it is just the Nature of the SO tracks which makes it difficult for everyone, but I can insure you that it is hard for the leader to close up on someone on the strait just to end up in his back just before the corners and I have been loosing up to 4 or 5 second behind slow drivers there... That's why I am always so careful with blue flag passes and how they are done. So when I am under blue flag on a track like SO6, I always try to give away just before the corners even if it means I have to slow down a bit more than I would like to. Now about the F1, under blue flag they have exactly 3 corners to give away before a penalty can be given, of course it is to the appreciations of the marshals to judge if the leader was blocked or not which leads to different reactions for each situations. Keep training and get fast enough to make sure to never see the bloody flag lol...

ok mate i'll try to drive faster and my point about complaints was not for u since u were a marshall and didnt say much either. It was for other members of plz team.
Other then that, is it ok if i give way by braking later and sliding to the outside (left) at those 2 slow corners right after the longest straight and before the long straight (i include the under passage bridge to the long straight :P ) ? Ofc also in the long straights as well when the behind driver is close enough.

The qually was pretty intense, I drove my fastest lap 1:40.54 faster than my laptime with draft 1:40.56, which was pretty awesome. I don't know where the P1 quallyfier was though ... wanted to race him so bad :P! Was a pretty easy race for me :P. Once I noticed in lap 5 i could easilly clock low 41's with high fuel and the rest couldn't keep up it released some stress because in the quallifieing session i saw that some people were allot faster than I expected. Though i wanted to win and i did . Stuart told me I had a great pace (is there a possibility we're able to see all the laptimes we drove?), well i was surprised i could have a 31.30 to 31.35 sector 1 pretty much all the time without burning the tires and still drive a low 41 or a 40 even. All and all i wanted to prove that ky2 is indeed my track:P. It's probably one of the nicest LFS tracks atm. Lets see what Rockingham is going to bring us . Thanks all for the support, thanks fram for the updated tire pressure! It really helped allot ! And above all thanks R2R !

You were really fast Drifters! Congrats mate Me, for first time, did a race with a rear wheel car Fram convinced me to start driving rear wheel cars, and its really more fun to drive them Hopefully, I'll get used to the rear wheel cars and will get some more speed Cheers B!K3R

Next week the GT2 will be at Westhill International (WE1) and the TBO will go to the many times requested Fern Bay Gold (FE3).
This Week Monday: dailycious tbo/FE3 Tuesday: dailycious gt2/WE1 Wednesday: dailycious tbo/FE3 Thursday: dailycious gt2/WE1
The first objective in racing is to finish our races, sadly too many racers give up at the first little problem, we've had many races last couples of weeks starting with 25+ cars on the grid and finishing with +/- 10 cars. I think it is too bad, first you don't learn much and second many valuable points are lost, on the good side this has allowed some slower drivers to climb the classifications much faster than they had expected....
This series has two objectives, first to provide us some longer races to train on an almost daily bases, and second to allow everyone (fast and slower) to participate to competitive races without inscriptions....We'll be re-evaluating the situation periodically and we will add or change some things on the way to keep improving.
Question: we are thinking about improving the strategy works, 40min races seems a bit short to really allow the tires to be exploited to their full potential (sadly LFS don't allow us to use used tires). So we are talking about increasing the race length to 1h with a pit window between minutes 15 and 50, what do you think? would that be an idea?
Good luck!
