Ehhh, man, it took me some time to understand the trouble. If was a real unlucky combination you went through. When you reconnected your best session time was correctly assigned back (as you've probably seen in !ss). The bad luck came when you were spectated by a timer (which should not run at all, server setup change is needed) on you 1st join. As new connection Airio never saw you in pitlane and delete your session time. Hell, I'm sorry, I'll do 2 changes, one small in Airio code to prevent such troubles once and for all, one another in server config. But I guess you must have had a nice race, from 23rd to 5th, that's one hell of a jump. I'm not sure if you noticed Thunder complained at race start that he should be able to race, that he has good time yet cannot join. I'm not sure what he was talking about, he's no record anywhere on our servers. He connected 10 minutes before qual end, did about 1 lap in XR2, one in FX2, neither one clean, and then the race started. No wonder he wasnt allowed to race because of insufficient time...

About yesterday's TBO DT penalties on KY2. This is what I see in log file:
09.09.14 20:50:53 #1 C62P45 smizzi - Pitlane : ENTER 09.09.14 20:50:53 #1 C62P45 smizzi - Pit entry : 424 > 422 09.09.14 20:50:53 #1 C62P45 smizzi - Pending pit entry penalty : dt
So it seems Biker cut the pit entry point a bit? Just by 2 nodes, that could be something like 10 to 20 "real" meters?

EQ Worry, can you include the following algorithm in your airo logic? If (username = 'D N B') { dnb_qualifying_place = last_position + 1; biker_qualifying_place = dnb_qualifying_place; if (dnb_race_place < biker_race_place) { dnb_penalty = true; set dnp_penalty_type = drive_through; } } That would solve the problem

Yes, I admit that I was low on fuel and panicked and swerved into the pits....I had forgotten that ON ENTRY its also a penalty I remember Schumi going on line when entering....hmm...is it a penalty in real life?

Yesterday, GT2 on KY3, one of the best races we had so far, I think. Very nice fight at the top 3 places, no big crash, smooth run overall. After race I received 2 complains, both concerning start position on grid, one from Redi, the other from Junkan. This is what Airio log sais about Redi: 09.09.17 20:27:50 #2 Qualification ends in 10 seconds, do not spectate! 09.09.17 20:27:57 #2 R2R™ÉÏedi joined the spectators 09.09.17 20:27:57 #2 C60P84 redi - Leaving race... 09.09.17 20:27:57 #2 C60P84 redi - Clearing session data... 09.09.17 20:28:00 #2 Ready2Roll : !sa
One minute and also 10 seconds before qual end everyone sees BIG message that qual is about to end that they should NOT spec (except from pitlane, of course). Yet Redi spectated from track just 3 seconds before qual end (maybe because the timer finished?) and thus lost his position. If you're on track towards qual end, just wait for the system to spec you, that is the real end, it is not possible to synchronize everything up to 1 second. Now about Junkan: 09.09.17 20:29:59 #2 Adjusting start grid order... 09.09.17 20:29:59 #2 Grid order : 66 38 16 35 75 39 61 67 28 64 22 82 32 12 62 43 06 52 87 09.09.17 20:30:01 #2 Race starting : KY3 09.09.17 20:30:01 #2 Race for minutes : 40 09.09.17 20:30:08 #2 [SR] junksy left the pits (FZR) 09.09.17 20:30:08 #2 C57P01 junkan - Joining race : FZR 09.09.17 20:30:08 #2 C57P01 junkan - Custom car : FZ2
You can see he joined race/track some 8 seconds AFTER the grid was formed. Naturally he lost his position and was put somewhere towards the end. Some people complain that the BIG messages are shown for too long. Yet they say exactly what is expected of you so please read the DAMN text and keep it in mind. My ideas about how to do qualification and prepare for the race: 1) Get setup and fuel level you need for just a few laps. 2) Find an empty spot on track during the out-lap (or is it in-lap?). 3) Try to make 2 or 3 hotlaps. 4) Make an in-lap, enter pits, then spectate. 5) Maybe try the above again, but ALWAYS pit/spectate ONLY from pitlane. 6) Once you have a reasonable lap time in !ss, take some rest. 7) When qual ends 2 mins bofore race start, do not join the track again. 8) Just get the correct race setup and fuel level, you have plenty of time for this. 9) Join track 30 (or 15) seconds before race starts, just wait for the restart. 10) Always evade multiple pitting/joining, you can easily lose your time. And then...

And then... thanks EQ i'd like to see a replay of qualifying if anyone as it saved i dont think i've made the same mistake twice. it was the same problem for me on tuesday in the TBO but i never mentioned it so from what i recall doing yesterday was - i post my lap time, drove the car back to the pits, from the pit lane i check my lap time !ss. time is fine, as its near the end of qualifying for me anyway i then spectate and wait for the race to start But here is where i'm having problems once qualifying ends and the race is about to start im sure your given an option to "join now" in RED.? with a count down timer of 120 minutes or so. ok when joining the race as requested im automatically booted to spectate, so i rejoined pressing the "join now" in RED for the second time, only to be place on a random grid, i believe what im doing in qualifying seems right to me, its when the race is about to start where im losing time its no Biggie EQ its only my second race this year, i dont mind starting from the back as im still on NOVICE plates remember its All new to me just like to say great work all round Guyz the Dailycious Series is Excellent couple of pictures of how my race ended

Hah, nice bottom! I'm not sure though what do you mean by "clicked the Join Now" button. When qual ends, everyone is spectated, message is shown it is time to adjust setup and add fuel. There's no need to join the track, it is a break for quick rest and adjustments. Time is ticking meanwhile, from 120 to 0, that means 2 minutes to race start. When the counter reaches 30, everyone is spectated again (so there was no need to join track before) and max. 32 people with best session time see JOIN NOW. The rest sees "Get ready to join in 15..14...1". That is the preferential joining by session time in case more than 32 people are interested in racing. When you see JOIN NOW you do not click it, you just press Shift+J as always. Then you stay on track and wait for restart. If you spec for late adjustments in full race, you can easily lose your place in the grid in case someone else takes the 32nd spot on track, so you really do not want to do that. Get everything ready before counter reaches 30, then just join and wait.

No i never said "clicked the Join Now" button, i said your given an option to JOIN NOW (in RED) which you've explained clearly what that mean EQ, when the race is about to start, making them final fuel adjustment while in Full race is where Ive been going wrong then, EQ Worry wrote: If you spec for late adjustments in full race, you can easily lose your place in the grid in case someone else takes the 32nd spot on track, so you really do not want to do that.
